Day 5 : TGIF!!!

Friday here in Wellington is not that different from the US. We had our Beer-O-Clock. Although, it felt much classier with fine cheeses and strawberries, with a great selection of beers and wines. You know ... not the usual Rum & Coke and 40's. I was also fortunate to go out with a Weta buddy, and we had a pretty good time. I feel that people here are much more approachable here than in LA. Especially places like Hollywood. I ended up talking to quite a few people. This one guy, I could barely understand, but in the end I think he hated the Miami Heat and was a die hard Bulls fan. The night life here is definitely different from the night life back home in Cali. People are more chill, and seem to genuinely go out just to have a good time. There are still those kind that go out for the sole purpose of getting wasted. I went to a place that sort of of reminded me of Public House, but with a dance floor. The clubs and bars here are also open much later, so things didn't start picking up until after midnight. I'm back at the hotel at 3:30 am ... and the streets are still alive with people. I also found a new favorite bar. For those of you who hung out with me quite a bit in the states, I'll just say I met a new Sybil and Sky replacement, and found a new Far (F.O.B.) Bar.

She was nice enough to keep me company, serve me some excellent NZ drinks, and take some fantastic shots with me. I owe you a hefty tip next time! For those of you who are unfamiliar with NZ or the rest of the world, tipping is totally unnecessary here. Even when I pay with a card, there is no tip line. It's really really great.

Over all it was a great Friday. I won one game of Ping Pong. Which was a huge step up from yesterday. I also enjoyed some really great social time with my fellow PreVis crew.
